Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AlphaShred (“AlphaShred,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites (including alphashred.life), member hub (including app.alphashred.life), mobile applications, Coach Mike / Rafiq coaching features, Academy learning content, community features, and related services (together, the “Services”).
1. Who we are
AlphaShred is operated by Mike Rashid King. For privacy or support requests, contact info@mikerashid.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, password or auth credentials, and optional phone number.
- Membership and billing: subscription plan, status, renewal dates, and payment processor references. Card data is handled by Stripe and/or Apple; we do not store full card numbers.
- Profile and onboarding: quiz answers and preferences (goals, age range, weight/height, activity, experience, diet, training place, and similar inputs you provide).
- Usage and device data: pages/screens viewed, feature use (including Coach Mike / Academy), approximate location derived from IP, browser/device type, app version, and diagnostic logs.
- Content you submit: messages to Coach Mike, check-ins, community posts, support emails, and similar content.
- Cookies and similar tech: necessary cookies for login/security and optional analytics or marketing cookies where allowed.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services (membership, training/nutrition tools, Coach Mike, Academy, community).
- Process payments, prevent fraud, and manage subscriptions (web Stripe checkout today; Apple In-App Purchase when enabled).
- Communicate about your account, billing, product updates, and (with consent where required) marketing.
- Personalize plans, coaching responses, and content recommendations.
- Comply with law, enforce Terms, and protect members, AlphaShred, and the public.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:
- Service providers: hosting, auth/database (e.g. Supabase), payments (Stripe; Apple for IAP), email delivery, video/CDN, analytics, and customer support tools.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Services.
- Business transfers: if AlphaShred is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer subject to this Policy or equivalent protections.
Coach Mike uses OpenAI to process your messages, recent conversation history, account and training/nutrition context, selected images and files, and optional voice recordings. If you turn Voice on, reply text is sent to ElevenLabs for spoken replies, with OpenAI as a backup voice service. We share this information with these AI providers only after you allow AI sharing in Coach Mike. You can turn off AI sharing there at any time to stop new requests and current recording or playback; this does not take back information already sent. Do not submit sensitive medical details you are not comfortable sharing.
5. Payments
Memberships purchased in the iOS app are billed through Apple In-App Purchase. Website memberships continue through Stripe. Payment providers process payment details under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive confirmation and subscription metadata needed to unlock access.
6. Account deletion and retention
Signed-in members can delete their AlphaShred account in the app or member hub via Account → Delete account. That flow asks you to type DELETE and acknowledge that deletion is permanent and that subscription billing is separate. You can also email info@mikerashid.com. We delete or de-identify personal data associated with your account after a verified request, except information we must keep for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes (for example limited billing records). A limited record of transactions, eligibility and ownership may remain linked to a pseudonymous account identifier. These retained records are not anonymous. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an active Stripe or Apple subscription — cancel billing separately as described in the Terms.
Canceling a subscription stops future charges but does not automatically delete your account. Deleting your account removes access to the Services.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to / restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email info@mikerashid.com. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in those emails. Essential service emails may still be sent.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
10. Health and fitness disclaimer
AlphaShred provides fitness and lifestyle coaching content, not medical advice. Always consult a physician before starting a training or nutrition program. Results vary.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
